Wineries all over the Umpqua Valley will be hosting Open Houses over Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 – 27, 2024) with special events and special wine pricing to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of our AVA being founded!
This is also a great opportunity to use your Umpqua Valley Tasting Pass, to get your tastings comped as you wine taste through the Valley.
You can find a grid with specific hours for each winery at the bottom of this page.
Winery events for Memorial Day Weekend:
TGIF Pizza: Friday from 4 – 8 pm
Enjoy your favorite Abacela wines paired with hand-tossed craft pizzas fresh from our outdoor horno, wonderful salad, and scrumptious dessert. Last seating for pizza begins at 6:30pm. Wine Tastings end at 3:30pm in preparation.
Memorial Day Open House: Saturday & Sunday, 11 am – 6 pm
At a $30 entry fee, you are welcome to enjoy meandering through our Vine & Wine Center while tasting through a lineup of joyful Abacela wines and peruse through an assortment of specialty paired bites. Plus, take home your own engraved Abacela wine glass!
Half-price entry for Baron/Noble Club Members and their guests. Royal Club Members enjoy complimentary entry!
Memorial Day Weekend Holiday at Cooper Ridge Vineyard: Thursday – Sunday 12pm-7pm
We kick-off our holiday weekend with the return of our Avalanche Frozen Wine Cocktail. These deliciously refreshing drinks are the best brain-freeze in town! This is a summertime treat we love!
Are you a red wine lover? Then come by and visit us for our Memorial Day Weekend Red Wine 3-packs. Choose from our 2018 Pinot Noir, 2017 Merlot, 2017 Syrah, and/or our 2017 Tempranillo. Create a mix or keep it one varietal, your choice. Memorial Day Weekend Red Wine 3-pack $75. These are to-go packs only.
This Memorial Day holiday also includes the unveiling of our new Cooper Ridge Cornhole game! Come on by with a few of your friends and enjoy.
Memorial Day Weekend 2 for $40 bottle deal: Thursday – Sunday, 1 – 5 pm
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of our AVA, choose two bottles of our wine and pay just $40. Our limited availability wines are excluded from this offer.
2023 Seyval Blanc and 2019 Teroldego Release: Friday through Monday 12pm-5pm
We will be releasing the new vintage of the delicious 2023 Seyval Blanc paired with a tasty Cajin Cucumber Shrimp and the 2019 Teroldego paired with salted dark chocolate caramels from Umpqua Sweets& Treats.

Sausage Sizzle and Lawn Games: Saturday & Sunday 12 – 5 pm
Come out to the yurt to taste our newly released wines, plus enjoy some sausages and lawn games.

OPEN ALL WEEKEND! Join us Friday for our first Friday Live Music nights with Neil Gregory Johnson from 4-6pm. Live music will be back again on Sunday from 3-5pm with “”Ivory and Brass”” Don Fisher (trumpet) and Lauren James (keyboard). No cover fee for live music events. Carpooling is encouraged. Wood fired pizzas hours- Friday 2-6pm, Saturday 12-5pm, Sunday 12-5pm, Monday 12-5pm.

Southern Oregon Wine Institute @ Umpqua Community College
Live music, Food Truck and 3 Wineries: Saturday & Sunday 12 – 5 pm
Former Students of Southern Oregon Wine Institute at Umpqua Community College have started their own brands, and are returning to SOWI to let the public taste their new wines for the first time. Local band, Second Chance, will be playing Sunday afternoon and Relish Food Truck will be serving up their popular fare on both Saturday and Sunday.
