About the Winery

At Abacela, our objective is to cultivate grapes from a site that is ideally matched with our varieties to produce wines that are a statement of harmony and balance. As the pioneers of American Tempranillo and other lesser-known varieties, we have been coined an icon of innovation in Southern Oregon’s Umpqua Valley since 1995. We encourage you to visit our Vine & Wine Center in Roseburg, Oregon, and taste our selection of wines to fully appreciate our passion and mission.

Today, we farm 17 different grape varieties that have proven to be a great match on our 76 acre estate. Our philosophy is simple; be conscious stewards of the land, grow the highest quality fruit possible, and produce expressive wines, with exceptional character. Our goal is that our passion, dedication, and hard work are reflected in each bottle we craft.
